How does buying new construction work?

Always bring your agent with you to new construction...here's why...

A young couple we worked with had just sold their home. When they chose to look for a home, we went to work for them. We looked at existing homes, and they were a little bit skeptical when we attended a grand opening of new construction with them. Their hesitation was something important to us, so we asked if there was anything that was bothering them. They said, "we don't want to be rude, you've been very helpful with us, but we need to ask you honestly...if we bring you in here with us, won't the builder charge us more to pay your commission?" What a great question! For the full story, please click here.

But, do know that we not only got them into their new home, but helped them save $5,000 in the process! Always bring your real estate agent on the first visit to new construction, and here's why...the agent in the sales office works for the builder and the builder's best interests, not yours. Your agent that you've interviewed and trust ALWAYS works for you and your best interests.
