Should I find a house first, a real estate agent first, or get my loan first?

Great question! You would definitely want to find an agent first. When you use a real estate agent to purchase a home in the state of Illinois, you pay absolutely nothing! So, to have expert advice and help of an agent dedicated to ensuring your welfare is looked after, it just makes sense. Once you've found an agent you know will best look after your needs (interview until you feel comfortable), you can work solely with that agent to find homes in all areas (listed by all companies) and work with that agent to find a great lender!
